Carl Loodberg
Carl Loodberg is CEO and Co-founder at illusion Labs. They specialize in WOW factor applications and games for iPhone and Google Android. They combine engineering and aesthetics to create fun and appealing pieces of work. Some of their strongest sides are graphics, physics simulation, and novel interaction such as accelerometer and multi-touch. Illusion Labs was founded autumn 2007 and is located in Malmö, Sweden just across the bridge from Copenhagen, Denmark.
At GCC Carl will talk about creating innovative games at mobile platforms. You’ll also meet Carl working and demonstrating his work in the GCC lounge area.
John Dennis
John Dennis is currently Design Manager at Team 17 Software, the developers responsible for amongst other things, the "Worms" games. In his eleven years since joining the Yorkshire-based developer, he has worked on twelve titles, for instance "Worms Armageddon", "Worms 3D", and "Lemmings". His game design experience takes in such varied aspects as AI system design, level design, board and card game design, production of concept artwork, all aspects of design documentation and the running of a fourteen-strong design department. He is also responsible for the content and creation of all Team 17 pitch materials delivered to publishers.
Josef Fares
Josef Fares is one of the developers of the game “Brothers”. Fares productions have been hugely successful despite their unorthodox approach to the market. Hopefully his new game will have the same success as his movies. The game is aimed to be released on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 platforms. Besides the Game Industry Josef Fares are known Swedish film director, scriptwriters and actors with roots in Lebanon. Some of his most famous films are Jalla! Jalla!, Kopps, Zozo and Leo.
Nicholas Francis
Nicholas Francis works with user experiences at Unity and he is also a co-founder. He has extensive production experience from the film industry and has written and directed seven movies, including the largest Danish independent movie production. He has a broad background with five years in the Danish film industry and seven years of 3D-graphics programming experience. His previous industry experience includes designing and implementing production management tools for one of Scandinavia's largest game development studios, Deadline Games.
Orvar Säfström
Orvar Säfström is most commonly known as the host for Filmkrönikan. He is, however, also active in the world of gaming. He writes articles, debates, holds lectures about gaming and has even held a seminar on gaming in the Swedish house of parliament. Orvar has also produced several symphony concerts where gaming music has been performed. His most renowned concerts are the award-winning Halo-concert in Berwaldhallen and Joystick, performed on Stortorget in Malmö in front of an audience of over 17.000 spectators, which is a world record for this kind of music. He got his first TV-game as a Christmas gift in 1978, and has ever since been an active gamer.

Peter Zetterberg
Peter Zetterberg is Manager of Business Development at EMEA, Microsoft Game Studios.
He is the founder of Unique Development Studios (UDS) started in 1994. He was managing director up to April 1999 and has been active both in the board and as deputy managing director. His role as Creative Director for UDS has been the design, production and most importantly international sales. With nine years in the industry Peter has built up an extensive network of contacts and relationships with publishers and game developers. On 30 December, 2002, he became CEO of Daydream Software, a listed games creations company in Sweden. In April 2005, he became Codemasters' Head of Acquisitions.
Sten Selander
Sten Selander is Senior Adviser at Nordic Game. He has a background in entrepreneurship, business and application development for new media and new cultural expressions, media production and product development for design and manufacturing. He also has a background as an artist and artisan in furniture, interior design and graphical design and in installations and happenings.
Selander is also currently CEO at Custom Red Software Studios and Executive Director at Peligroso Entertainment Group and member of Spelplan – Association of Swedish Game Developers, an organisation he has co-founded, that organizes 44 companies. Selander is also working closely together with the Nordic Game Programme in issues concerning trade and international exchange.
